Board Game Manufacturing: Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about custom board game manufacturing, including MOQ, pricing, production timeline, materials, prototyping, quality control, and global shipping.

Production Basics & Manufacturing Process

Our standard MOQ starts at 500 units per game. The exact MOQ may vary depending on component complexity (such as custom miniatures or special materials). We always provide cost-optimized quotes to help you choose the most economical production quantity.

After final sample approval, mass production usually takes 6–8 weeks, covering material sourcing, printing, component manufacturing, assembly, and final inspection.
Prototyping and shipping time are calculated separately.

Our process includes four key stages:

  1. Pre-Production: File review & prototype making

  2. Production: Material sourcing, printing, die-cutting, custom parts manufacturing

  3. Post-Production: Assembly, quality control, packaging

  4. Shipping: Export packing and logistics coordination

Costing & Quotation

To provide an accurate quotation, please share:

  1. A detailed component list (cards, boards, tokens, miniatures, etc.)

  2. Size & quantity per component (e.g. cards 63×88mm, quantity per game)

  3. Target production quantity (MOQ: 500 units)

  4. Preferred materials & finishes (or let us recommend)

The more detailed the specs, the more precise the quote.
